Joyce is a passionate development leader with a gift for building bridges between communities and organizations. With a strong background in Organizational Development, Public Relations, and Marketing Management, she has spent over a decade nurturing relationships that bridge organizations and communities across Kenya.
Her mentorship footprint stretches across Kenya from Nairobi to Garissa to Kisumu to Diani, touching the lives of children and youth aged 5 to 24 through empowerment, guidance, and compassion. Joyce’s work reflects her lifelong commitment to reducing dependency by instilling self-belief and practical skills.
She holds a Diploma in Public Relations & Marketing Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Management, and a Master of Development Studies (Organizational Development) from St. Paul’s University, Kenya.

Esther Kalekye Mumo is a dynamic Development Strategist and Organizational Development Specialist with over 15 years of experience driving transformative change across Africa. A visionary leader with a passion for people, systems, and purpose, Esther has worked at the intersection of governance, enterprise growth, and social impact, empowering organizations and individuals to unlock their full potential. She holds degrees in Leadership, Management and Development Studies.
Esther has championed inclusive economic programs for women and youth, blending research, mentorship, and enterprise development to create lasting impact. A published author and thought leader in participatory development and leadership transformation, Esther’s work reflects her deep belief that sustainable progress begins from the inside out with empowered people, intentional learning, and resilient systems. Whether advising boards, mentoring entrepreneurs, or shaping talent strategies, she brings insight, empathy, and excellence to every engagement.
Patrick is an economist and community development practitioner. He has a vast experience of working and engaging with the community for the last 10 years. He has mediated in conflict issues with the community and wildlife in Ruma National Park, Lambwe Valley, Homabay County. Realizing the community needs and their afflictions, he has come up with sustainable programs for the youths, such as Agri-business farming on a small scale, tapping and nurturing the youth's talents, economic empowerment through household strengthening and capacity development.
This has tremendously aided in bridging the intergenerational gap for people in Suba Community, Homa Bay County, Kenya. He has also been involved in sensitizing the elderly people above 70 years who qualify for the Social Security Fund and bringing to their realization how the fund can be utilized in their well-being through Hospital Insurance Contribution (NHIF). He is also a seasoned lecturer and has taught in universities across Africa on Economic Development. Patrick holds a B.A in economics and sociology, MA in applied economics for Development from Laikipia University and PhD in Development Studies from St. Paul's University.
Wanjiru is an experienced nonprofit professional with a passion for helping and empowering people. She loves working with a passionate and purposeful team that aims to bridge social & economic gaps and strengthen our communities. Her strengths and experience include field logistics & distribution management, leading social projects, mentorship trainings, as well as fundraising. When not working, she enjoys art, music, and her own company.
Meet Josphat, our Programs Coordinator and community maestro. Armed with a degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, he's transformed his technical know-how into a force for community development. Over the last five years, Josphat has been the wizard behind projects empowering women and youth in Kenya's low-income communities. Beyond circuits, he's a mentor and peer educator, bridging the gap between technology and empowerment. We celebrate Josphat for making our programs both technically sound and socially impactful!
Andrew is our logistical wizard and the mastermind behind our programs as the Assistant Coordinator. With a charm as magnetic as his precision in planning, Andrew turns chaos into coordinated brilliance. Lenah is a seasoned development professional with a decade of experience in community and sustainable development. From roles as an assistant branch manager at Hand-in-Hand Eastern Africa to a life skills trainer at the Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project, she has made a significant impact. Currently serving as the Community Outreach Coordinator at Elimisha Empowerment, Lenah brings her extensive expertise to enhance the organization's outreach and effectiveness.
